Residential Heat Pump Program

Residential Heat Pump Rebates — Your Energy Advantage® Heat Pump Program

Heat pumps are one of the most efficient ways to heat your home. Tillamook PUD offers residential customers a rebate when converting from an electric resistance heating system to a qualifying energy efficient heat pump. Heat pumps must be installed by a Tillamook PUD-approved dealer.

Ducted Air-Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Rebates for Single Family Residences

Air-Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) are a compressor-driven electric heating and cooling system that distributes conditioned air through a centralized duct system. An ASHP is at least twice as efficient as an electric-resistance forced-air furnace.

The heat pump must be AHRI-tested and certified with an HSPF2 and a SEER2 efficiency rating that meets federal minimum standards.

Heat Pump Rebate Options

  • Heat Pump switching from wood, propane or an oil heat source — existing site-built or manufactured home — $500
  • Heat Pump Conversion from electric furnace — existing site-built or manufactured home — $1,000
  • Variable Speed Heat Pump from electric furnace — existing site-built or manufactured home — $1,200

Ductless Heat Pump (DHP) Rebates for Single Family Residences

A ductless heat pump (DHP) system is a highly efficient system that is easily installed as a new primary heat source for electrically heated homes. Ductless systems have three major parts: an indoor unit mounted on a wall, and outdoor unit that sits on the ground and a remote control that controls the unit. The indoor and outdoor units are connected by a small bundle of cables, including a refrigerant line. These cables require a 3″ hole in the wall for installation. Ductless systems have an ultra-quiet fan that circulates air evenly throughout living areas, eliminating hot and cold spots.
