High School Work Program — Shop Helper Position

Senior Year — 2021/2022

Tillamook PUD is offering a one-year employment opportunity for a 2021/2022 High School Senior (16 years or older). Applicants are required to submit a Tillamook PUD High School application form and one letter of recommendation; résumés are optional. Drivers Education Course certificate preferred but not required. Application materials are due by May 17, 2021.

SPECIFIC JOB TASKS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Sweeping
• Pressure washing
• Putting tools and supplies away
• Detailing vehicles (washing and vacuuming)
• Some painting
• Assisting mechanics with oil changes
• Set-up for car washes

• Ability to work with a wide variety of people

Work Environment

• Greasy, oily, dirty
• Some duties are outside in Tillamook weather
• The mechanics’ shop may be cold at times

Wages/Start Date

• $16 per hour
• Start date approximately mid-June (interviews to take place late May)

Hours

• During school breaks, full-time (summer, winter, and spring)
  • Tuesday — Friday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
• When school is in session
  • Tuesday – Friday, preferred schedule between 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm, 2 hours per day (minimum)
