Customer Assistance Program (CAP)

The Customer Assistance Program (CAP) is Tillamook PUD’s emergency assistance program to help spread warmth throughout our community. Funded through customer contributions, which are matched by the District, the funds help pay the electric bills of our neighbors in need.

Community Action Resource Enterprises (CARE), Inc. and Northwest Senior and Disability Services identifies those in need and determines if they meet program qualifications.

Thanks to the caring spirit of several hundred Tillamook PUD customers and friends, about $12,000 is donated annually to the program. The long-standing CAP program is designed to assist limited-income families in crisis situations who need help in paying their electric bills. The PUD matches the amount of every donation, and it is placed into a fund where it can provide twice the assistance.

Over the past five years alone, CAP has provided nearly $115,000 to hundreds of Tillamook County families and seniors in emergency situations. For local families in crisis, CAP has been a lifeline.

Please help your less fortunate neighbors warm their homes by making a CAP contribution. You can make a one-time gift, sign up for monthly recurring donations, or add extra to your monthly electric bill.

Thank you for Helping our Neighbors in Need!
